PRESS RELEASE

RE:  Male adult arrested for brandishing firearm

At approximately 10:07am this date Bonneville County Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched to the Lewisville Hwy for a report of a male in a pickup waving a gun out the window. As Deputies were in route to the suspect vehicle was spotted near Northgate and Holmes and a Deputy observed the male driver waving a handgun out the driver side window.

The Deputy turned on the suspect vehicle and attempted to initiate a traffic stop.  At first the suspect failed to yield, but eventually pulled behind the Big O Tire Store at Northgate and Lomax and stopped.

Other Deputies and Idaho Falls Police Officers arrived to assist and were able to take the driver into custody without incident.  The driver was identified as 30 year old Kegan J. Kinghorn of Rigby.  Deputies found a hand gun and two rifles inside the vehicle, as well as indications Kinghorn had been drinking.

Kinghorn was placed under arrest for Brandishing a Firearm and are continuing an investigation for Driving Under the Influence.  Any further charges are pending at this time.
