RE: Male arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine and Drug Paraphernalia
On July 28th, 2019, just before noon, Bonneville County Sheriff’s Deputies came in contact with a vehicle parked on top of Panarama Hill on private property. Deputies found two people asleep in the vehicle, a female adult passenger, and an adult male driver identified as 20 year old Luis A. Sanchez-Martinez of Rigby. Deputies could see drug pipes inside the vehicle and after waking Sanchez-Martinez located a small baggy of Methamphetamine in his pocket. When asked if there was anything else in the vehicle Sanchez-Martinez told Deputies he and the female had smoked marijuana earlier and that everything inside belonged to him. Deputies later found the amount of Methamphetamine found in the possession of Sanchez-Martinez to weigh just over 1 and ½ grams.
Sanchez-Martinez was taken into custody and transported to the Bonneville County Jail where he was booked for Felony Possession of Methamphetamine and Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The female passenger and vehicle were released from the scene.
