PRESS RELEASE

On March 27th at approximately 6:20pm, Bonneville County Sheriff’s Deputies assisted Idaho State Probation and Parole who was detaining two adult males in the driveway of a residence on the 3100 block of E. Lincoln Rd. The males, identified as 33 year old Christopher L. Haynes and 28 year old Jonathan R. Sloan of Idaho Falls, were being detained near a vehicle as part of a probation check.
During this time the Probation Officer and a Deputy located multiple baggies inside the vehicle containing a substance that appeared to be Heroin and Methamphetamine. A Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office K-9 had arrived at their location and was used in further search of the vehicle, resulting in multiple indications of the presence of drugs in and around the vehicle. Deputies latter determined the amount of Heroin was just short of 5 grams and the Methamphetamine approximately 1.5 grams.
Haynes and Sloan were taken into custody and transported to the Bonneville County Jail where they were booked for Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance and Drug Trafficking.
As part of this probation search, a third adult was detained inside the residence and identified as 25 year old Marcella R. Tracy-Norris. Tracy-Norris was found to have an active warrant for her arrest from the Idaho Falls Police Department for Failure to Appear. A Deputy transported her to the Bonneville County Jail where she was booked for the warrant. During a search of Tracy-Norris in the booking area, Deputies found she had concealed a syringe with suspected drug residue or liquid on her person that she failed to disclose upon her arrest. Tracy-Norris was also booked on additional Misdemeanor Charges of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession/Introducing Contraband into a Correctional Facility.
