RE:  Traffic stop leads to Felony drug arrest

 

     A Bonneville County Sheriff’s Deputy made a traffic stop on Saturday evening (Sept. 11th) just before midnight near 17th St. and Fife Ave. after locating a man known to be wanted out of Butte County.  42 year old Benjamin R. Jensen of Moore, ID, was driving a vehicle in that area when the Deputy spotted him and initiated the stop. 

     After taking Mr. Jensen into custody, the Deputy located items of drug paraphernalia and suspected illegal substances inside of his vehicle.  Among those items was just over 21 grams of Methamphetamine, 4 ½ grams of Marijuana, and several prescription pills that did not belong to Mr. Jensen. 

     Mr. Jensen was transported to the Bonneville County Jail where he was booked on the outstanding Butte County Warrant and new Felony charges for Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of a Schedule II Prescription Drug.  Mr. Jensen was also booked on Misdemeanor charges for Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
