RE: Passenger on Traffic Stop admits to Possessing Methamphetamine
Bonneville County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 37 year old Tyson L. Wise last night (May 25th) after making contact with him on a traffic stop. Mr. Wise was the passenger in a vehicle stopped by a Deputy around 10pm on 25th E. near John Adams Pky. As the Deputy was obtaining information about the occupants in the vehicle, Mr. Wise advised that he was wanted for an outstanding warrant. Wise was detained at that time and Deputies confirmed he had an active Warrant for Failure to Appear.
During this time Mr. Wise told Deputies there was a backpack in the vehicle belonging to him that contained Methamphetamine. A search of that backpack produced a baggie with over 17 grams of Methamphetamine. Mr. Wise also told Deputies he had plans to provide some of that Methamphetamine to another individual.
Mr. Wise was transported to the Bonneville County Jail where he was booked on the outstanding warrant for his arrest. Wise was also booked on Felony charges for Possession of Methamphetamine and Delivery of a Controlled Substance.
