UPDATED PRESS RELEASE

Bonneville County Sheriff’s Deputies are still searching for Escapee Levi J. Bautista who cut his ankle monitor off on July 6th while out of the facility on Work Release.  Bautista was believed to be with two other inmates, Tyson Mitchell and Peter Lewis, who failed to return to the jail after being released on a court ordered furlough.  Mitchell was arrested in Bismarck North Dakota on July 9th and is now back in the custody of the Bonneville County Jail.  Lewis was apprehended early this morning after a vehicle pursuit with Idaho Falls Police Officers and Bonneville County Sheriff’s Deputies.

Since July 6th, multiple tips and information have been received from the public that assisted in the apprehension of Mitchell and Lewis, however Levi Bautista’s whereabouts are still unknown.  Bautista should be considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.  Anyone with information as to his whereabouts is asked to contact Bonneville County Dispatch at 208-529-1200 immediately.  Tips and information can also be sent anonymously online through East Idaho Crime Stoppers at www.ifcrime.org or through the P3tips app on your mobile device.
