Our BCSO family is grouped into 3 major categories:

Detention -

     A Certified career with our Team typically starts in the Jail Detention Facility, with Deputies eligible to test and  further advance to Patrol after 2 years.   

Laterals —

     Experienced Officers are eligible to test for open Patrol and Detention Deputy positions to laterally transfer from their outside agency. 

Non-Certified Positions—

     There are a variety of non-certified support staff positions  agency wide in the Jail facility, Records, Civil, and Drivers License Divisions.  Part-time and Full –time as needed.
