Traffic stop leads to Drug Arrest

March 10, 2026

NEWS RELEASE

Bonneville County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 41-year-old Jeffery Don Williams Sunday evening (Mar. 8th) after discovering Methamphetamine in his vehicle. A Deputy initiated a traffic stop on Pancheri Dr. and Dickson Ave. at approximately 8:30pm after observing Williams driving and knowing he did not have a valid drivers license.

Williams had advised Deputies he was currently on parole for a previous Drug Trafficking conviction but maintained there was nothing illegal in the vehicle. During the stop, a second Deputy arrived with his K-9 partner to sniff around the vehicle which produced a positive indication for the presence of illegal drugs. Deputies then searched the vehicle, locating just over 17 grams of Methamphetamine and various items of Drug Paraphernalia in a hidden compartment under the seat.

Mr. Williams was placed under arrest at that time and transported to the Bonneville County Jail. Williams was booked into jail for Possession of Methamphetamine, a Felony, and Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
