The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office Records Team is responsible for the processing and collecting numerous records, reports, and orders from the courts. This team handles Public Records Requests for Case Reports and Crash Reports, which may go through an approval process with the Bonneville County Prosecutor’s Office and Sheriff’s Office Legal Counsel so the appropriate available records outlined in Idaho Law can be released.

Looking for a Public Record?
Requests for public records, case reports, crash reports, etc. can be made in writing by one of the options listed below:
- Visiting the records office in the law enforcement building located at 605 N. Capital Idaho Falls, ID 83402
- Download the public records request form here. Fill out as much identify information about your request as possible. You can email the form to [email protected] or fax to 208-529-1297
IMPORTANT- Be sure to include:
- As much identifying informatin as possible of the case or record you are requestion such as:
- Case number
- Date of occurrence
- Location of occurrence
- Names of persons involved
- Contact information for the person or entity making the request:
- Full name
- Mailing address
- Email address
- Daytime phone number
