About Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office

The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office is a full-service law enforcement agency, serving the needs of our community in the greater Idaho Falls area to the ID/WY border and all 1900 square miles of Bonneville County in East Idaho. We pride ourselves on a solid work ethic and the fundamentals of service to complete our mission.

Our Detention team is responsible for every aspect of operations at the Bonneville County Jail, including the safety and security of inmates, including several rehabilitation and educational resources within the facility. In addition, our Deputies provide security at the Bonneville County Courthouse and facilitate the transport of inmates from court proceedings.

The Law Enforcement team covers patrol, investigative, and rescue functions across the entire county that include contracted Law Enforcement services to the Cities of Ammon and Iona. Within our jurisdiction, we also serve the Cities of Idaho Falls, Ucon, Ririe, Swan Valley, and Irwin and enjoy a great working relationship with our local and surrounding Public Safety partners.

The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office also operates the Civil Process and Drivers License Division and is responsible for Search and Rescue Operations within the boundaries of Bonneville County. A dedicated team of Search and Rescue Volunteers supplement our resources providing valuable support and operational readiness in times of need.

It is an honor to serve the citizens of Bonneville County, and we are proud of the support and cooperation we have with our communities. This is what makes our small part of East Idaho special.
