Bonneville County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a Colorado man yesterday afternoon on a traffic stop after discovering he was wanted in Bingham County. Just after 3:30pm a Deputy made a traffic stop near Anderson and N. Boulevard on a vehicle driven by 41-year-old H.K. Gregersen after discovering he was wanted on an outstanding Felony Warrant in Bingham County. During the stop, a Deputy utilizing his K-9 partner conducted a free air search around Mr. Gregersen’s vehicle resulting in indications to the presence of illegal narcotics.
Deputies conducted a search of the vehicle and located a small amount of Methamphetamine and Drug Paraphernalia items used to inject it. The search also produced a handgun and bundles of cash totaling over $8000 that were seized as evidence. Deputies also learned Mr. Gregersen had prior Felony convictions in his criminal history that prohibited him from being in possession of a firearm.
Mr. Gregersen was placed under arrest and transported to the Bonneville County Jail where he was booked on the outstanding Felony Warrant from Bingham County. Gregersen was also booked on Felony Charges for Possession of Methamphetamine and Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and a Misdemeanor charge for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
