Aggravated Assault Arrest

January 30, 2026

NEWS RELEASE

Bonneville County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a man yesterday for his involvement in an Aggravated Assault reported earlier this week. On Tuesday (Jan. 27th) a man and woman living in a trailer near 65th W. and 33rd S. reported to Deputies their roommate, 34-year-old Jeramie Mark Seward, had been arguing with them in the residence over a flashlight. Deputies were told during the altercation Seward retrieved a small shotgun and pointed at the male victim’s head while threatening to “shoot him in the face”. The victims retrieved their belongings at that time and left the residence.

A Deputy contacted Mr. Seward by phone who admitted to being involved in an argument over a flashlight, but claimed the altercation was only verbal. When asked if there were any weapons involved, Seward told the Deputy there were none in the trailer.

Based on the investigation, Deputies were able to get a search warrant for the trailer and an arrest warrant for Mr. Seward for Felony Aggravated Assault on Thursday morning (Jan. 29th). Due to the possibility of weapons being involved, the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team was utilized to serve the warrant on the residence and attempt to locate Mr. Seward at around 3pm. At that time Seward was not at the residence and reached out to Deputies after hearing from neighbors law enforcement was at his trailer. Mr. Seward agreed to return to the trailer and meet with Deputies, at which time he was placed under arrest for the active warrant.

Deputies conducted a search of Mr. Seward’s trailer and located multiple items of drug paraphernalia and approximately 4 grams of Methamphetamine. The search also produced a pellet gun, however the small shotgun described by the victims was not located.

Seward was transported to the Bonneville County Jail and booked on the Felony Warrant for Aggravated Assault, with an additional Felony charge for Possession of Methamphetamine and a Misdemeanor charge for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
