Bonneville County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 34-year-old Trevor Allen Clark overnight after he drove his vehicle into a patrol car. Deputies responded to Mr. Clark’s residence in the 1000 block of Swan Valley Hwy east of Ririe around 11:30pm after it was reported he was acting erratic and damaging property. Deputies had been to the residence earlier in the day for similar circumstances, however Clark had left the area at that time.

Information from the reporting party indicated Clark was parked in his vehicle on an adjacent road a mile away. Deputies arriving to the area located Mr. Clark on McMurtrey Rd. and initiated a traffic stop to make contact. Clark swerved on and off the roadway, maneuvering around the first patrol car driving head on into a second patrol car. Clark then attempted to back up, striking the first patrol car in the process, but his vehicle was disabled and unable to continue moving.

Clark then exited his vehicle holding a rifle yelling at Deputies to shoot him. Mr. Clark refused repeated commands to drop the rifle, however one of the Deputies was eventually able to convince him to put it down and he was safely taken into custody.

After being transported to the hospital by ambulance and checked for injuries, Clark was taken to the Bonneville County Jail where he was booked on Felony charges for Eluding and two counts of Aggravated Assault. Deputies learned from the reporting party Clark had shot at and damaged a building and other household items. Deputies also believed Mr. Clark had been using illegal drugs. From that portion of the investigation, Mr. Clark was also booked for Felony Malicious Injury to Property.

As a result of the crash, Mr. Clark was treated at the hospital for minor injuries and soreness and Deputies involved reported minor injuries as well.
