Barricaded Suspect Arrested

January 15th, 2026

NEWS RELEASE

Bonneville County Sheriff’s Deputies apprehended a wanted man who was barricaded inside his trailer this morning. Deputies were called to a residence in the 1000 E. Block of Swan Valley Hwy (aka Hwy 26) around 7:20am to a report of 35-year-old Trevor Allen Clark destroying property and vehicles and threatening another person on the premises.  Clark was wanted for two active Felony Warrants for Failure to Appear on charges from a September 2025 incident where he rammed patrol cars.

The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team was activated and responded to the area where a perimeter was established. For safety reasons during the operation a 2-mile stretch of Swan Valley Hwy (aka Hwy 26) was temporarily closed.

Deputies were able to make a safe approach and separate the other adult resident on scene out of harm’s way. During this time Mr. Clark exited the residence carrying an axe and walked out to an open field. At first Clark refused commands to drop the axe and Deputies deployed less lethal munitions in an attempt to incapacitate him. After a few moments Clark dropped the axe, and Deputies were able to take him into custody without further incident.

Clark was transported to the hospital to be checked and cleared of any injuries before being transported to the Bonneville County Jail and booked on the outstanding warrants.

No other persons or Deputies were injured in the incident and Swan Valley Hwy was closed for approximately 45 minutes until the scene was made safe. No further information is available, and Deputies are continuing to investigate.
