RE: Child injured in private property accident
Emergency Personnel responded to a residence on W. 17th S. at approximately 9:38 this morning to a child that was injured. Bonneville County Sheriff’s Deputies, Idaho Falls Police and Idaho Falls Fire arrived finding a 2 year old had been struck by a vehicle pulling a trailer on the property. The child was immediately transported to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center (E.I.R.M.C.) with severe injuries.
Deputies found that a resident was moving a pickup pulling a horse trailer on the property but did not see the child had moved into its path when they started to pull away. Deputies are continuing to investigate and no further information is available at this time.
