Distracted Driving Mobilization

April 1, 2024

NEWS RELEASE
RE: Distracted Driving Mobilization

Distracted Driving contributes to a large number of serious injury and fatal traffic crashes in our area. Paying full attention to your driving at all times is your best chance at avoiding being part of those crashes. Engaging in and practicing good driving habits not only reduces the risk of being involved in a crash, but sets an example for your family, friends, and other drivers on the road.

Bonneville County Sheriff’s Deputies have partnered with the Office of Highway Safety and Law Enforcement from around the state to put extra patrols on our roads to look for and intercept distracted drivers. Over the next couple weeks, extra Deputies will be deployed to work higher traffic areas in hopes to educate motorists and respond to reports of aggressive or distracted drivers. Deputies will be taking enforcement action where appropriate, but more importantly we hope to see motorists help us make our community safe committing to drive without distractions.
