Five GED Graduates from the I.G.N.I.T.E. Program
The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office celebrated the graduation of five Inmates with their GED in the I.G.N.I.T.E. Program yesterday. Those individuals were Blair McKelvey, Justin Kovats, Seith Torres, Helena Herrera, and Allie Reed. This is the biggest group of GED Graduates in the I.G.N.I.T.E. Program since launching last fall and marks the culmination of hard work and dedication by these individuals.
The I.G.N.I.T.E. Program, Inmate Growth Naturally and Intentionally Through Education, is a resource for people inside our jail facility to further their own education as they seek to better their lives. Being able to assist those who need the finishing credits or courses to obtain a GED and pursue stability is a huge value to the community. Inmates who take part in the program have access to thousands of courses, even after they are released.
Our team is proud to be a small part of watching people learn and grow from this program. We wish all of them the best of luck as they pursue a brighter future!
