Bonneville County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to a report of a Rape in progress yesterday morning (Nov. 20th), resulting in the arrest of a 27-year-old Jose Luis Silvas. Deputies were sent to a residence on 3750 E. in Bonneville County just after 6am after receiving a report Mr. Silvas was caught having sex with a 16-year-old girl. After arriving on scene, the reporting party advised Deputies they walked into a bedroom and witnessed the two in the act. Through investigation Deputies learned the girl had consented to engaging in sexual contact with Mr. Silvas.

Mr. Silvas was placed under arrest and transported to the Bonneville County Jail where he was booked on a Felony charge of Rape. Detectives are still investigating the case and no further information is available at this time.
