JOINT NEWS RELEASE – Bonneville County Prosecutor & Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
November 17, 2025
BONNEVILLE COUNTY GRAND JURY INDICTS
ERIC ALVARADO FOR FIRST DEGREE MURDER

IDAHO FALLS, IDAHO. On June 23rd, 2025, Bonneville County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a shooting at approximately 9924 N. River Rd. in Bonneville County where 34-year-old Daniel William Leary was discovered with a fatal gunshot wound. Since that time, with the help of several outside agencies, Deputies have been in the investigative process of identifying persons involved in this incident and presenting case information to the Bonneville County Prosecuting Attorney.

On November 17, 2025, a Bonneville County Grand Jury indictment was unsealed charging Eric Christopher Alvarado, 35, with 1 count of First Degree Murder. Alvarado has been served in Nebraska with an arrest warrant where he is currently incarcerated.

The Grand Jury likewise returned indictments against Brittnie Lynn Schennum, 33, of Idaho Falls, Megan Lynne Paz Warrick, 35, of Idaho Falls, Jonathan Terry Warrick, 31, of Idaho Falls, and Jarrod Thomas Sisneros, 30, of North Fork, Idaho, all of whom have been charged with felony accessory, for willfully withholding or concealing knowledge of a felony from a peace officer and felony conspiracy to commit aggravated battery.
The next step in the process will be for these individuals to be arraigned in district court. The evidence presented to the grand jury remains under seal. This reduces the level of pre-trial publicity which protects our local jury pool. We ask for the public’s patience while these cases make their way through the judicial process.

The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office and Bonneville County Prosecuting Attorney would like to thank the following Law Enforcement Agencies for their help and assistance in this case:

Bannock County Sheriff’s Office
Twin Falls County Sheriff’s Office
Lemhi County Sheriff’s Office
Elko County Sheriff’s Office, Nevada
Galatin County Sheriff’s Office, Montana
Nebraska State Police
Nebraska State Department of Corrections
