NEWS RELEASE
RE: Download the new BCSO Mobile App
####
The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) is excited to announce the release of a new custom smartphone application for our community. The mobile app called “Idaho Sheriff Connect”, will serve as an innovative way for the Sheriff’s Office to connect with residents and visitors, providing important information quickly and efficiently. . “This is a great tool for the community to be connected to our teams,” said Bonneville County Sheriff Samuel Hulse. “It supplements the messaging from our website and social media pages, helping tie important information and resources together for everyone we serve in a very effective way.” As the current President of the Idaho Sheriff’s Association, Sheriff Hulse is excited to see this application connect people to BCSO as well as other Sheriff’s Offices in Idaho all in one location.
Currently three Idaho Sheriff’s Offices are rolling out the app:
● Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office (Sheriff Sam Hulse)
● Canyon County Sheriff’s Office (Sheriff Kieran Donahue)
● Benewah County Sheriff’s Office (Sheriff Anthony J. Eells)
Additional Sheriff Offices are expected to go live in 2025.
The Idaho Sheriff Connect Mobile App was developed by TheSheriffApp.com, a brand of OCV, LLC., which specializes in mobile app development for sheriffs’ offices and public safety organizations nationwide. The app offers quick access to items of public interest and is designed for ease of use. With just a click, users can access BCSO features such as:
● The BCSO Team and Organization (Mission, Division, Services, Programs)
● Online Crime Reporting and Tip Submission
● Jail Information and Inmate Search
● Sex Offender Registry
● Driver’s Licenses, ID Cards, and Concealed Weapons Permits (CWP) Information
● BCSO Records
● Community Resources with links to Mental Health and Substance Abuse Assistance
● Join Our Team Info with Current Career Openings, Benefits, and Hiring Processes
Additionally, users can receive push notifications with important safety information during emergencies and events, media releases, and more.
“We are honored to work with Sheriff Hulse and the Idaho Sheriffs’ Association to make this offering available to Idaho’s Sheriffs,” said Kevin Cummings, Partner and Chief Revenue Officer of OCV. “Mobile apps allow public safety agencies to put valuable information directly in their citizens’ hands—right on their smartphones.”
The app is now available to download for free in the App Store and Google Play by searching “Idaho Sheriff Connect” or by clicking HERE. Simply open the app, search for Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office (or any other county of interest) and select it. App settings are customizable to the user for notifications similar to many other smartphone apps.
