Records Division

Requests for public records, case reports, crash reports, etc. can be made in writing by:

 – Visiting the Records office in the Law Enforcement Building located at 605 N. Capital  Idaho Falls, ID 83402


 – Download the Public Records Request Form:   PUBLIC RECORDS REQUEST FORM

Fill out as much identifying information about your request as possible – 

 – Fax submission form to 208-529-1297 


– Email request form to:


Be sure to include: 

– As much identifying information as possible of the case or record you are requesting such as:

  • Case number
  • Date of occurrence
  • Location of occurrence
  • Names of persons involved

– Contact information for the person or entity making the request:

  • Full name
  • Mailing address
  • Email address
  • Daytime phone number
