NEWS RELEASE

RE: Seeking the public’s help: Hit and Run Suspect

The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect in a Hit and Run Case involving damage to county property. At approximately 1:30am on April 28th, a dark colored car backed out of a parking space on Capital Ave. near B St. in front of the Bonneville County Elections Building (497 N. Capital) and struck the ballot drop off box on the sidewalk. From security video, it appears the suspect pauses and leaves the area going the wrong way on Capital Ave. The suspect vehicle is a dark color 4-door car and appears to be driven by a female with longer blond hair.

Deputies have been following tips and leads since the incident but have been unable to identify the driver of the vehicle. Anyone with information about the identity of this driver is asked to call Bonneville County Dispatch at 208-529-1200 to speak with a Deputy or report anonymously online through East Idaho Crime Stoppers at www.IFcrime.org.
